Who Am I?

I help businesses frame their processes around better decisions, to deliver real value to their employees and customers – and ultimately drive business growth and profitability.

My 20+ years’ career journey in strategy and marketing has enabled me to gain exposure and in-depth insight into developing business plans and strategies that help businesses to be more productive and profitable.

I often tell people that I am someone that has failed in business, not that I’m proud of my mistakes, but I believe that it is a catalyst for success.

Several years ago I started my own small business and did what over 60% of new business owners do, I didn’t write a plan. I had it all in my head. I’d written plans in the past, and knew what to include but I just didn’t do it for my own business. As a result, I lost over $500k and had to rebuild, my life, my finances and my confidence.

However after re-joining the corporate world and helping some of Australia’s largest and most successful companies to write hundreds of business plans, strategy documents, process improvement strategies, market analysis and much much more… I have figured out the step-by-step process that all small to mid-tier businesses must do in order to be successful in this market.

Armed with these tools, systems and processes – I want to help as many businesses as I can to not make the same costly mistakes as I did, hence Strategic Plans was born.

Sandalford is one of the largest privately owned wineries in Western Australia. Chris launched “Element By Sandalford”.
TXU was a major energy company with operations in North America and Australia. In Australia it was the 5th largest utility and operates out of Victoria and South Australia and was planning to expand into New South Wales.
Reliance is one of Australians leading independent insurance intermediary with over 30 franchises (Reliance Partners) across Australia and four corporate offices (Australian Reliance).
Market Equity was a market research and business strategy service supplier now called Synovate. It was approximately three years old when I began and was the second largest research company to The Marketing Centre in Western Australia.
The Marketing Centre was a small marketing strategy consultancy firm. The Marketing Centre has been operating for over 25 years and has over this period developed an impressive blue chip client list.
Midland Brick is a member of the Boral Groups of Companies. It is the largest brick manufacturing plant in the Southern Hemisphere. The builders department managed all major local accountants.
